‘Things to do before procedure”

  • Avoid high intensity work out 2 to 3 days before the treatment.
  • Avoid alcohol and smoking.
  • Don’t use blood thinners one week prior to treatment.
  • Avoid vitamin E and retinol.
  • Avoid saunas or steam rooms.
  • Keep yourself hydrated.

Your doctor will cleanse that area and make it numb by a local anesthetic.

  • Your expert will fix threads in the desired area with minimal invasive technique and securing thread at its place.
  • One can go home shortly after procedure.

DO:

  • DO know that it is common to feel some tugging and soreness as you move the treated area. These feelings diminish after a week or two.
  • DO go back to everyday life (i.e. driving, eating (avoiding aggressive or prolonged chewing), walking, etc.) right after the procedure. See notes about exercise in “Don’t” section.
  • Do apply a cool compress ( in 30-minute increments over the first 24 hours to reduce swelling. Please be aware that using ice on newly injected skin, or thin and fragile skin, can cause injury. Frostbite can occur from ice left on the skin too long. Note: do not ice over the entry point.
  • Do use Arnica for bruising. The bruising will dissipate over the next 7-14 days depending on your individual healing process. You can purchase bromelain at Facial Aesthetics on the day of your treatment.
  • Do use bromelain for swelling that has not dissipated in 24 hours. You can purchase bromelain at Facial Aesthetics on the day of your treatment.
  • Do sleep on your back (if possible) for the next 3-5 days to prevent movement of threads
  • Do return to your skin care program after 24 hours.
  • Do (if prescribed) take your full prescription of your antibiotic or anti- viral medication.
  • Do manage any pain or discomfort by taking only Tylenol as per recommended dosing instructions. Do not take Ibuprofen or Motrin. Due to threads being placed in the skin, there may be discomfort and tightness in the area for several days after the procedure, this will decrease over time.
  • Do contact your injector following the Thread Lift procedure if you develop any new or worsened swelling, tenderness, warmth, or  redness  in the treated area, or if you’re experiencing any discharge from the  entry point(s).
  • Do make a follow-up appointment with your injector 1-week post- treatment – communication is so important.

DON’T:

  • DO NOT touch your entry points for 48 hours. If applying a cool compress, avoid contact with the entry points.
  • Do not massage the treatment area or receive deep facial massage for the next 2 months.
  • Do not pick at the tiny scab that will form at the entry point over the next few days. If it itches, hydrogen peroxide on a Q-tip may be gently applied to the site, or an oral antihistamine such Benadryl can be taken.
  • Do not lay down either on your back or on your stomach for 4 hours after the procedure to decrease the possibility of the movements of threads.
  • Do not exercise for 4 weeks. This includes all strenuous workouts. Walking is permitted.
  • Do not take a shower or wash your hair for the first 24 hours. Avoid hot showers for one week.
  • When washing face after 24 hours, gently wash the required area with cleanser (recommended by your injector) and water. It is fine to shampoo and wash over the entry point and to towel off the area.
  • Do not take a hot tub, or sauna for one week.
  • Do not smoke or consume alcoholic beverages (includes wine) for 1-2 weeks. Smoking and drinking will slow down the healing process.
  • Do not apply skin care products/makeup for 24 hours post treatment.
  • Do not apply makeup over the entry point until you see your clinician at your follow-up appointment.
  • Do not make exaggerated facial expressions for about 2-3 weeks. Avoid aggressive or prolonged chewing, wide yawning, or smiling too large for  up to 1 month.
  • Do avoid dental work, including cleanings, for 4 weeks. Should you have  a dental emergency, please contact your injector.
It causes facelift and contouring for a temporary period and its maintenance is required by frequent sessions after every 6 to 9 months.
No serious side effects have been noted.

Treatment Day 1

Do not wash, touch or apply make-up to treated areas for 4-6 hours.

  • 30 minutes after applying the Light Green towelette, apply one of the V.I. Peel Post Peel towelette (Dark Green). Swipe over the entire peeled surface.
    • If discomfort or reaction occurs, cleanse the areas with a gentle cleanser and water. Apply the V.I. Post Peel Protect and ice. You may also take ibuprofen.
  • 15 minutes after applying the towelettes, apply a thin layer of the V.I. Post Peel Protectant (Moisturizer)

What is Microneedling and Pep factor?

Microneedling is a laser technology and it has been combined with Pep factor a protein, to help in skin rejuvenation as well as healing.

  • Microneedling is also known as Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT) which produces collagen and elastin by repeatedly puncturing the skin with tiny sterile needles. While skin remains intact the microneedling procedure causes small microscopic wounds that induce Growth Factor production.

Things to keep in mind before the procedure are:
‘Things to do before procedure day’

  • Microneedling with Pep factor cannot be performed if someone has already injected Botox or fillers within 2 weeks of treatment.
  • Discontinue any scrubs or exfoliating products.
  • Check with your doctor if you are breastfeeding or pregnant.
  • Stay out of sun and avoid any tanning.

Our experts will be using a pen like device on area to be treated to produce micro punctures about 2mm deep while keeping the skin intact.
Pep factor is being applied with this micro pen needling it into your skin.
Client notice an immediate glow after the procedure with visible changes shown in coming weeks.
Multiple treatment s 4 to 6 weeks apart are required for better results.

Immediately Following Treatment:

  • Do not apply anything to the skin for 6-8 hours after treatment. This includes make-up, SPF or products of any kind.
  • Avoid clothing, headbands, hats or scarves on the treated area. If clothing is to be worn over the treatment area, we recommend cotton clothing that hasn’t been treated with fabric softeners or dryer sheets.
  • Redness and/or swelling is common and will resolve within 1-2 days.

8 Hours After Treatment:

  • Cleanse skin then apply hyaluronic acid serum using the products recommended to you by your clinician. Do not apply anything else to the skin.

Days 1-6 Post Treatment:

  • AM Routine-Cleanse skin then apply hyaluronic acid serum using the products recommended to you by your clinician. Follow with SPF.
  • PM Routine- Cleanse skin and apply hyaluronic acid serum using the products recommended to you by your clinician.
  • Bruising, pinpoint bleeding, minor scabbing, minor breakouts, swelling and/or redness may occur and will resolve within 7-10 days of treatment.·
  • Do not pick, peel, rub, scrub or irritate your skin in any way while it is healing, as this may cause scarring.
  • Avoid heat, saunas, hot tubs and sweaty activity; this includes exercise of any kind.
  • Do not use an electric or manual facial brush of any kind (i.e. Clarisonic or something of the like).
  • Mineral make-up may be worn, however, we recommend leaving skin clean for this time period if possible.

Days 7+:

  • You may resume your regular skin care routine as long as peeling/flaking has subsided. If you are still peeling/flaking, be patient and allow your  skin the time it needs to heal before starting back on your routine.
Wrinkles, acne scars, fine lines, uneven skin tone seem to be reduced after first treatment. Results continue to improve in coming weeks up to 6 months. Better if clients remain compliant with the schedule of treatments.
Short term swelling, redness or bruising is noted which can last for a few days.

No we apply skin numbing cream to avoid any discomfort.

Usually 3 to 4 treatment sessions are required depending upon the clients skin problem.

KYBELLA FAQ

What is Kybela?
  • A non-invasive, FDA approved injection procedure which dissolves fat under the skin of chin and also back.
  • It has shown good results after second or third session.
  •  

Deoxycholic acid occurs naturally in bile which absorbs fat, similar is the working mechanism of Kybella.

It uses synthetic Deoxycholic acid which dissolves packets of fat occurring under chin.

Clients who have fat under their chin Submental area are usually the candidates of Kybella.

Clients usually report no recurrence of fat as this procedure dissolves fat and that area becomes unable to hold it.

There are some very important things to be discussed before this procedure with your expert.
  • Our experts must know if there had been any surgery of your face before.
  • Any swallowing issues.
  • If you are breastfeeding.
  • If you are planning pregnancy or are pregnant.
  • Avoid procedure in case of infection in injection area.

‘Things to do before procedure’

Post-Treatment Instructions:

  • Avoid extreme temperatures of heat for 24 hours post treatment (i.e. Jacuzzi, hot showers etc.).
  • Do NOT consume alcohol or sodium for 3 days post treatment to avoid excess swelling.
  • Avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours post treatment.
  • Sleep on your back with your head elevated to decrease swelling.

What to Expect:

  • You will experience swelling and bruising for 3-5 days post treatment, which will begin decreasing over a period of a few weeks. Swelling can last 4-6 weeks.
  • Many patients need 2-3 treatments for desired results, please schedule a follow-up appointment 4-6 weeks after your first treatment.
  • Ice packs may be used to the treated area during the first 12 hours. Ice for 15 minutes every hour. However, icing can be discontinued if uncomfortable.
  • Do NOT massage the injection site. Swelling, tenderness, bruising, numbness, and areas of firm nodules may occur and will resolve over time without intervention. Results are not immediate. Results may be seen as early as 4-6 weeks post-treatment, but full results will not be noticed until 12 weeks post-treatment. Numbness can last up to 12 weeks.
  • Do not wrap the treated area, and do not take anything to prohibit swelling the day of the treatment or for the days following treatment.
  • You may feel a sense of heaviness following the treatment, especially when laying on your back. This sensation may make you feel short of breath. However, Kybella® does not compromise your airway. Notify our office if any significant swelling, bleeding, pain, dusky discoloration, difficulty swallowing or smiling, or if fever occurs.

What is liquid facelift?

LED TEETH WHITENING

Post Procedure Care
  • Do not smoke for 48 hours
  • Avoid foods and beverages that stain (red sauce, blueberries, juice, coffee, tea, etc.
  • Mild sensitivity to hot or cold liquids may occur. This usually passes within 1 – 2 days. If sensitivity persists, we recommend taking over the counter pain medication. We recommend combining two Ibuprofens (such as Motrin) with two Acetaminophens (such as Tylenol).
  • If you experience gum sensitivity do not brush the afflicted area while brushing your teeth.
  • Immediate whitening results can be quite dramatic due to minor dehydration of your teeth. It is normal for the color to tone down somewhat after treatment when your teeth rehydrate to a natural white tone.
  • Long term results vary from patient to patient. This can depend on the original shade of your teeth and include habits such as smoking or drinking colored beverages (red wine, coffee, tea, etc.)
  • home with take-home trays and Pola whitening gel to use as needed for touchups. More whitening gel can be purchased as needed.
  • Existing fillings, crowns, bonding, etc. will not whiten. Therefore, these may need to be changed in order to match your new smile.
